The ASRock B660 Steel Legend DDR4 is a full-size ATX motherboard designed for Intel's 12th Generation Core processors using the LGA1700 socket. Built on the Intel B660 chipset, it delivers a capable and well-rounded platform for enthusiasts, content creators, and gamers who want modern connectivity without moving to a higher-end chipset. At the heart of its power delivery is a 9-phase Dr.MOS design rated at 50A per phase. Dr.MOS integrates the driver and MOSFET into a single package, improving thermal efficiency and current delivery compared to discrete component designs. This is complemented by Nichicon 12K Black Caps — 100% Japan-made conductive polymer capacitors — a premium power choke, and a 2oz copper PCB with high-density glass fabric construction for long-term reliability. For expansion, the board provides a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot (CPU-direct), a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot running at x2 mode (chipset), and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots. Storage is generous with two Hyper M.2 sockets running PCIe Gen4 x4 (up to 64 Gb/s), one additional M.2 socket supporting PCIe Gen3 x2 or SATA3, and six SATA3 6.0 Gb/s ports. RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 are supported across SATA devices.
