The ASRock Z790 Pro RS DDR5 is an ATX form-factor motherboard built on the Intel Z790 chipset, designed for Intel 12th and 13th Generation Core processors using the LGA1700 socket. It supports Intel Hybrid Technology, Turbo Boost Max 3.0, Thermal Velocity Boost, and Adaptive Boost Technology, making it a capable platform for demanding workloads and enthusiast builds alike. Memory support is a highlight: four DDR5 DIMM slots accept up to 128 GB of non-ECC unbuffered DDR5 RAM running at speeds up to DDR5-7200 (OC) via Intel XMP 3.0 profiles, operating in dual-channel configuration for improved bandwidth. Expansion flexibility comes from a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot driven directly by the CPU, a chipset-connected PCIe 4.0 x16 slot (running at x4 mode), two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots, and an M.2 Key-E socket for optional Wi-Fi or Bluetooth modules including Intel CNVio/CNVio2. AMD CrossFire multi-GPU configurations are also supported.
