The ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4 is a full-size ATX motherboard designed for AMD AM4 socket processors, built on the AMD Promontory B450 chipset. Measuring 12.0 x 8.8 inches (30.5 x 22.4 cm), it fits standard ATX tower cases and delivers a well-rounded feature set for gaming and enthusiast builds. Memory support spans four DDR4 DIMM slots in dual-channel configuration with a maximum capacity of 64 GB. Supported frequencies vary by CPU family: Ryzen (Matisse) supports DDR4 3200/2933/2667/2400/2133, while Pinnacle Ridge and Summit Ridge CPUs can reach DDR4 3200 via XMP/OC. DIMM slots feature 15-micron gold contacts for reliable long-term connectivity. Storage is a strong point, with four native SATA3 6 Gb/s ports supporting RAID 0, 1, and 10, alongside two additional SATA3 ports via ASMedia ASM1061. Two M.2 sockets are included: the primary Ultra M.2 (M2_1) supports PCIe Gen3 x4 at up to 32 Gb/s with compatible Ryzen CPUs, while the secondary M.2 (M2_2) supports both SATA3 and PCIe Gen3 x2. NVMe SSDs are supported as boot devices. Audio is handled by a Realtek ALC892 codec delivering 7.1-channel HD audio with PCB isolate shielding and ELNA audio capacitors, with Creative Sound Blaster Cinema 5 software support. The PCB uses 2 oz copper layers and high-density glass fabric construction. Power delivery uses a 9-phase digital PWM design. RGB lighting is managed through ASRock Polychrome SYNC, with one standard RGB header (12 V/3 A) and one addressable RGB header (5 V/3 A).
