Overview
The ASRock Z590 Taichi WiFi DDR4 is a full-size ATX motherboard built on Intel's Z590 chipset for LGA1200 socket processors. It supports both 10th Gen and 11th Gen Intel Core processors, making it a capable platform for users upgrading within the Intel 10th/11th Gen ecosystem. At the heart of the power delivery is a 14-phase Dr.MOS design featuring 90A Smart Power Stage (SPS) technology and premium 90A power chokes. This configuration is designed to deliver stable, regulated power to the CPU during sustained workloads and overclocking sessions. The 8-layer PCB with 2oz copper inner layers further reinforces signal integrity and thermal performance. Memory support spans four DDR4 DIMM slots with a maximum capacity of 128GB. With 11th Gen processors installed, DDR4 frequencies up to 5000MHz (OC) are supported; 10th Gen processors support up to 4800MHz (OC). Intel XMP 2.0 profiles are also supported for straightforward memory overclocking. Storage options are generous: 8 x SATA3 ports (6 native + 2 via ASMedia ASM1061), one Hyper M.2 slot supporting PCIe Gen4 x4 (64 Gb/s) with 11th Gen CPUs, and two Ultra M.2 slots supporting PCIe Gen3 x4 or SATA3. RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 configurations are available for SATA devices. Connectivity is a standout strength. The rear I/O includes 2 x Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4.0 Type-C ports running at 40 Gb/s, 2 x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A (10 Gb/s), and 4 x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports. Networking is handled by dual controllers: a Killer E3100G 2.5G Ethernet port alongside an Intel I219V Gigabit LAN port, plus a Killer AX1675x Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) module with Bluetooth 5.2 support. Killer DoubleShot Pro allows simultaneous use of both wired and wireless interfaces. Audio is delivered through a Realtek ALC1220 codec paired with an ESS SABRE9218 DAC offering a 130dB SNR rating for the front panel output, WIMA audio capacitors, and Nahimic Audio software. Display output options include one HDMI 2.0 port and two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, supporting up to triple-monitor configurations at 4K 60Hz. The board features ASRock Polychrome SYNC RGB lighting with 2 x RGB LED headers (12V) and 2 x Addressable LED headers (5V/ARGB).
