Overview
The NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell is a professional-grade workstation graphics card engineered for demanding compute, AI, and visualization workflows. Built on NVIDIA's Blackwell GPU architecture, it delivers the processing throughput and memory capacity that studios, engineering labs, and enterprise environments require. At the core of the RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell are 14,080 CUDA cores, accompanied by fifth-generation Tensor Cores and fourth-generation RT (Ray Tracing) Cores. The Tensor Cores enable up to 2,064 AI TOPS, making the card a capable accelerator for inference and AI-assisted design tools. The RT Cores handle hardware-accelerated ray tracing, reducing render times for photorealistic scenes in architectural visualization, VFX, and product design pipelines. Memory capacity is a defining feature: 48 GB of GDDR7 with ECC (Error-Correcting Code) allows professionals to load large 3D scenes, high-resolution datasets, and complex simulation models without hitting memory limits. The 512-bit memory interface delivers 1,344 GB/s of memory bandwidth, sustaining throughput for data-intensive compute tasks. Multi-Instance GPU (MIG) support partitions the card into logical instances — up to two 24 GB partitions or one full 48 GB partition — enabling efficient resource sharing in multi-user or virtualized workstation environments. Connectivity is handled through a PCIe Gen 5.0 x16 interface for maximum host-to-GPU bandwidth. Four Mini DisplayPort 2.1b outputs support multi-monitor configurations at resolutions up to 7,680 × 4,320 (8K) at 60 Hz across two displays, or up to 5,120 × 2,880 at 60 Hz across four displays simultaneously. Video encode and decode are managed by three ninth-generation NVENC engines and three sixth-generation NVDEC engines, enabling high-throughput media processing. The card operates within a 300 W total board power envelope, uses an active thermal solution, and occupies a dual-slot, full-height form factor measuring 4.4″ × 10.5″.
