Built on the PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 interface with NVMe 1.4 protocol, it delivers sequential read speeds of up to 7,400 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 6,700 MB/s, putting it firmly in the upper tier of consumer Gen4 drives. Unlike many drives that rely solely on SLC caching, the GM7000 is equipped with a dedicated 4 GB DRAM independent cache. This allows the drive to sustain high random access performance — up to 1,350K IOPS read and 1,150K IOPS write — while simultaneously reducing unnecessary write amplification to help preserve the NAND flash over time. Thermal management is addressed through a custom graphene-laced foam pad that improves heat dissipation during sustained workloads, helping the drive maintain consistent performance rather than throttling under pressure.
