The Addlink S68 512GB is a compact M.2 2280 internal solid-state drive built on the PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe 1.3 interface. Designed for desktop and laptop upgrades, it fits systems with an M.2 slot, replacing older mSATA or mini-PCIe solutions in thin-and-light notebooks as well as small form-factor desktops. Storage performance is delivered through 3D TLC NAND flash, which stacks memory cells vertically to improve density and endurance compared to 2D planar NAND. Addlink’s in-house testing with CrystalDiskMark reports sequential read speeds of up to 2,100 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 1,700 MB/s. For mixed workloads, the drive reaches 295,000 IOPS on 4K random reads and 430,000 IOPS on 4K random writes. Actual speeds will vary depending on host system configuration, interface conditions, and usage patterns. Reliability features include end-to-end data-path protection, dynamic thermal throttling, SmartZIP compression, and SmartRefresh to maintain data integrity over time. Host Memory Buffer (HMB) support allows the drive to leverage a portion of system DRAM, reducing latency on cache-intensive operations without requiring board DRAM. Security-conscious users benefit from TCG OPAL 3 and TCG Pyrite encryption support. Endurance is rated at 400 TBW (terabytes written) with an MTBF of 1.5 million hours. Addlink backs the drive with a 5-year warranty, valid up to 400 TBW. The operating temperature range is 0 °C to 70 °C, and the storage temperature range is -40 °C to 85 °C.
