At the heart of the H120D's cooling system are six 6 mm U-shaped copper heat pipes that run through a stacked aluminium fin array. Stamping the fins directly onto the heat pipes maximises surface contact, allowing heat drawn from the CPU to dissipate rapidly across the full width of the heatsink. The copper base plate is mirror-polished and nickel-plated, ensuring a tight, low-resistance thermal interface with the CPU's integrated heat spreader. The cooler ships with dual 120 mm PWM fans featuring a nine-blade design. Each fan operates between 800 and 2,000 RPM, delivering up to 45.2 CFM of airflow and up to 2.14 mm/H2O of static pressure. At the low end of the speed range, noise output starts at just 24.1 dB(A), rising to 35.5 dB(A) at full load — a range that keeps the system audibly quiet during light tasks.
