The ARCTIC Freezer 36 ARGB (Black) is a single-tower CPU air cooler designed for builders who want efficient thermal management paired with customisable A-RGB lighting. Its push-pull fan configuration mounts two 120 mm P12 PWM PST A-RGB fans directly to the heatsink using a click-in system that requires no fan clips, simplifying installation and future fan replacement even when the cooler is already seated on the motherboard. The aluminium top plate conceals the soldered heatpipe ends, giving the cooler a clean, premium look that suits a wide range of PC builds. Four 6 mm copper heatpipes transfer heat efficiently from the CPU contact base to a fin stack comprising 59 aluminium fins at 0.4 mm spacing. The fins are open at the sides, allowing the rear pull fan to draw additional cool air from inside the chassis through the heatsink for improved airflow. The included ARCTIC contact frame for Intel LGA1851 and LGA1700 sockets replaces the stock Intel Independent Loading Mechanism (ILM). The stock ILM applies more than 40 kg of clamping force at two points, which can stress the PCB and CPU die over time. ARCTIC’s contact frame distributes pressure more evenly and secures the cooler to the CPU backplate, reducing mechanical load on both the motherboard and processor. The dual P12 PWM PST A-RGB fans operate across a speed range of 200–2000 rpm under PWM control and drop to 0 rpm below 5% PWM duty cycle for near-silent idle operation. Each fan uses a Fluid Dynamic Bearing developed with a proprietary alloy and lubricant formulated in Germany, designed to minimise friction, reduce operating noise, and extend bearing service life. The 12 individually addressable A-RGB LEDs per fan operate at 5 V via a 3-pin A-RGB connector and are compatible with major motherboard manufacturer A-RGB standards, enabling synchronisation with other RGB components. MX-6 thermal compound (0.8 g) is included in the box.
