Overview
The ASRock B760M PG Lightning WiFi DDR5 is a Micro ATX motherboard built on Intel's B760 chipset, designed to support 12th, 13th, and 14th Generation Intel Core processors using the LGA1700 socket. It strikes a balance between feature density and platform cost, making it a practical choice for compact gaming and productivity builds that demand modern DDR5 performance without stepping up to a full ATX board. The power delivery subsystem uses a 7+1+1 phase configuration with 50A Dr.MOS components covering VCore and GT power rails, providing stable current delivery during extended workloads. Four DDR5 DIMM slots support dual-channel operation with speeds up to DDR5-7200 MHz in overclocked mode and a maximum installed capacity of 192 GB. Intel XMP 3.0 profiles are supported for straightforward memory tuning via UEFI. Expansion is handled by a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot connected directly to the CPU for the primary graphics card, supplemented by a chipset-connected PCIe 3.0 x16 slot operating at x4 bandwidth. Three Hyper M.2 sockets (M2_1, M2_2, M2_3) all run at PCIe Gen 4 x4 speeds delivering up to 64 Gb/s per slot, and four SATA3 6 Gb/s ports accommodate traditional drives. RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 configurations are available across SATA devices. Display output on the rear panel includes one HDMI 2.1 port supporting up to 4K at 60 Hz and one DisplayPort 1.4 port supporting up to 8K at 60 Hz or 5K at 120 Hz via DSC compression, both compatible with HDCP 2.3. Audio is handled by a Realtek ALC897 codec delivering 7.1-channel HD output alongside Nahimic Audio software. Wired networking uses a Realtek Dragon RTL8125BG controller providing 2.5 Gigabit LAN with Phantom Gaming LAN bandwidth management software. A dedicated M.2 Key E socket supports 2230 WiFi/BT modules including Intel CNVio/CNVio2 for integrated wireless connectivity, with two antenna mounting points on the rear panel. USB connectivity includes one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C and three USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports on the rear, plus two front-panel USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A headers and six USB 2.0 ports split between rear and front headers. A Thunderbolt AIC 5-pin connector is present for optional ASRock Thunderbolt 4 add-in cards.
