Overview
The ASUS Prime H310M-C R2.0 is a Micro-ATX motherboard designed specifically for commercial and business computing environments. Built on the Intel H310 chipset, it supports 8th Generation Intel Core i7, Core i5, Core i3, Pentium, and Celeron processors using Intel's 14 nm fabrication process. With two DDR4 DIMM slots supporting up to 32 GB of non-ECC, unbuffered memory at speeds of 2133, 2400, or 2666 MHz, it provides a stable and scalable memory foundation for office and enterprise workloads. Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) is also supported. Storage flexibility is covered by a single M.2 Socket 3 (M-Key, type 2260/2280) that accepts both SATA and PCIe x2 devices, complemented by four SATA 6 Gb/s ports. Expansion options include one PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 slot, two PCIe 2.0 x1 slots, and one legacy PCI slot — accommodating a wide range of add-in cards for business environments that still rely on older peripherals. Display output is handled through the integrated Intel HD Graphics processor via DVI-D and D-Sub (RGB) ports, each supporting resolutions up to 1920×1200 at 60 Hz, with simultaneous dual-display capability. Connectivity on the rear I/O panel includes two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, four USB 2.0 Type-A ports, PS/2 keyboard and mouse connectors, a Gigabit LAN port (Realtek RTL8111H), and three audio jacks backed by the Realtek ALC887 8-channel HD Audio CODEC. ASUS has equipped this board with several business-centric reliability features. The self-recovering BIOS automatically restores the firmware from a verified backup if an update fails, reducing downtime. An anti-moisture coating protects internal circuitry from humidity and corrosion. The board is tested for continuous operation at temperatures up to 45°C and humidity up to 80%. A dedicated LPC debug header with LCD display and an event log in the BIOS simplify IT troubleshooting and maintenance. TPM connector support (14-1 pin) enables hardware-based security for data protection and platform integrity. The BIOS is 128 Mb Flash ROM running UEFI AMI, compliant with SM BIOS 3.1 and ACPI 6.1, and is NIST SP 800-147 certified. Wake- LAN and PXE network boot are supported for remote management.
