ASUS ProArt PA278QGV 27-Inch QHD Professional IPS Monitor

The ASUS ProArt Display PA278QGV is a 27-inch QHD professional monitor built for photographers, video editors, graphic designers, and other creative professionals who demand reliable, accurate colour in their daily workflow. As the second-generation successor to the PA278QV, it brings meaningful improvements in colour gamut coverage, panel slimness, and Mac compatibility without sacrificing the ergonomic flexibility that ProArt displays are known for. At the heart of the PA278QGV is a 27-inch IPS panel with a native resolution of 2560 × 1440 (QHD, 16:9), delivering crisp detail at a pixel pitch of 0.233 mm across a 596.74 × 335.67 mm active display area. The anti-glare surface keeps reflections in check whether you are in a bright studio or a dimly lit edit suite. Wide 178°/178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles mean colour and contrast remain consistent even when colleagues review work from the side. Colour accuracy is where the PA278QGV sets itself apart. The panel covers 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space and 100% of sRGB, meeting the gamut requirements of professional photo and video work. Each unit leaves the factory pre-calibrated to achieve a colour accuracy of Delta E < 2, and the calibration has been independently verified using Calman software — you can begin colour-critical work straight out of the box without additional profiling hardware. A 120 Hz variable refresh rate (VRR, via Adaptive-Sync) keeps motion smooth during 3D renders, timeline scrubbing, and motion-graphics previews. HDR10 support, combined with a peak brightness of 350 cd/m² and a maximum contrast ratio of 3000:1 (typical 1500:1), provides noticeable highlight separation when working with HDR-graded footage. The panel renders up to 1.073 billion colours (10-bit) and a 5 ms (GTG) response time limits ghosting on fast-moving content. The new M Model colour temperature preset is designed to align colour rendering between macOS devices and the ProArt display, making it easier to maintain consistency when working across a MacBook and this external monitor — a genuine advantage for Mac-centric creative studios. Connectivity covers the essentials: one DisplayPort 1.4 input, one HDMI port, and a USB 3.2 hub with four USB Type-A downstream ports (two accessible along the bottom bezel) plus a dedicated headphone passthrough. ASUS Light Sync technology uses an ambient light sensor to automatically adjust brightness and colour temperature as room lighting changes, helping maintain perceptual accuracy throughout the day. The ergonomic stand supports tilt, swivel, pivot (90° portrait rotation), and height adjustment, and the space-saving base is 33% smaller than the previous generation while the profile is 30% slimmer. A screw-free VESA quick-release bracket is integrated for wall-mounting flexibility. The monitor carries a 3-year warranty and meets energy-efficient environmental standards with paper-based packaging. — Verified Specifications — Screen size: 27 inches | Resolution: 2560 × 1440 (QHD) | Panel: IPS | Aspect ratio: 16:9 | Pixel pitch: 0.233 mm | Viewing angle: 178°/178° (H/V) | Brightness: 350 cd/m² (typical & peak) | Contrast ratio: 1500:1 (typical), 3000:1 (max) | Response time: 5 ms (GTG) | Refresh rate: up to 120 Hz (VRR/Adaptive-Sync) | Colour gamut: 100% sRGB, 95% DCI-P3 | Colour depth: 1.073 billion (10-bit) | HDR: HDR10 | Colour accuracy: Delta E < 2 (factory calibrated, Calman Verified) | Connectivity: DisplayPort 1.4 ×1, HDMI ×1, USB 3.2 Type-A ×4 (hub) | Display surface: Anti-glare | Flicker-free: Yes | Low Blue Light: Yes | VESA mount: Yes (quick-release, screw-free) | Warranty: 3 years
