The ASUS ROG Strix Z890-F Gaming WiFi is a full-size ATX motherboard built on the Intel Z890 chipset, designed specifically for Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors via the LGA1851 socket. It measures 12 x 9.6 inches (30.5 x 24.4 cm) and is backed by a 3-year warranty, making it a strong foundation for a high-performance gaming or content-creation PC. Memory support is handled by four DIMM slots accommodating up to 192 GB of DDR5 RAM in a dual-channel configuration. The board supports speeds beyond 8600 MT/s (OC) using Clocked Unbuffered DIMMs (CUDIMMs), and is compatible with Intel XMP and the proprietary ASUS Enhanced Memory Profile III (AEMP III). The DIMM Fit BIOS feature analyses individual modules to optimise performance and flag potential issues. Storage options are generous: five M.2 Key-M slots are provided, with M.2_1 running at PCIe 5.0 x4 (CPU-direct) and the remaining four operating at PCIe 4.0 x4 via the chipset or CPU. The rear I/O panel provides 14 USB ports including two Thunderbolt 4 (USB Type-C) ports, six USB 10 Gbps ports (one with 30 W Power Delivery fast-charge), four USB 5 Gbps Type-A ports, and two USB 2.0 ports, plus DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 video outputs. Audio is delivered by the ROG SupremeFX subsystem using a Realtek ALC4080 codec with a Savitech SV3H712 amplifier, offering 120 dB SNR stereo output and 110 dB SNR recording input at up to 32-bit/384 kHz. Gold-plated audio jacks, audio shielding, premium capacitors, and a rear optical S/PDIF output complete the audio section. The board features AI Overclocking, AI Cooling II (one-click thermal and acoustic balance), AI Networking II, and ASUS AI Advisor for natural-language motherboard guidance. NPU Boost support enables AI-accelerated PC workflows on compatible processors. RGB aesthetics are managed via Aura Sync with three onboard Addressable Gen 2 headers.
