The Fractal Design Define 7 (White Solid) is a full-featured E-ATX mid-tower PC cabinet engineered around silence, modularity, and exceptional build flexibility. Built with a steel chassis and finished in white, the Define 7 carries model number FD-C-DEF7A-09 and accommodates motherboards from Mini-ITX all the way up to 285 mm E-ATX boards, making it a versatile foundation for a wide range of system configurations. The case ships with three preinstalled Dynamic X2 GP-14 fans — two at the front and one at the rear — and offers a total of nine 120 mm or 140 mm fan mounting positions across the front (3), top (3), rear (1), and bottom (2). For custom water-cooling builds, radiator support is extensive: up to 360 mm or 280 mm at the front, up to 360 mm or 420 mm on top, 120 mm at the rear, and up to 240 mm or 280 mm at the base. Storage capacity is a defining strength. In the default Open Layout, six universal 3.5-inch HDD/SSD brackets and two dedicated 2.5-inch SSD brackets are included. Switching to Storage Layout unlocks up to 14 HDD positions alongside four dedicated SSD mounts. A single 5.25-inch ODD bay is also present and can alternatively be converted to an additional 140 mm front fan mount. The anodized aluminum front panel uses reversible dual-handed hinges with magnetic latching for smooth, one-handed access. The top panel effortlessly swaps between a sound-damped solid steel configuration and a filtered ventilation panel. Industrial sound-damping material lines the front, top, and side panels to reduce noise output. Tool-less, top-latching side panels allow quick interior access. Front I/O includes five USB ports: one USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C (10 Gbps, fast-charging), two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, and audio I/O. Expansion is handled by seven standard PCIe slots plus two vertical GPU slots — compatible with the separately available Flex VRC-25 PCIe riser. The Nexus+ 2 fan hub, integrated along the cable channel edge, supports up to three PWM fans and six 3-pin fans simultaneously. Clearance figures: maximum GPU length 491 mm, maximum CPU cooler height 185 mm, maximum PSU length 250 mm with the HDD cage installed. The PSU mounts at the bottom and is not included. High-airflow nylon dust filters are fitted at the top panel, two front positions, and a full-length bottom filter with front access for cleaning.
