The Fractal Design Define R6 is a spacious eATX mid-tower cabinet engineered around two core priorities: near-silent operation and exceptional build flexibility. High-density industrial sound-dampening material lines the side, top, and front panels, absorbing vibration and reducing operational noise to a minimum. The push-to-lock side panels engage with a satisfying click and require no tools, making component access straightforward during builds and maintenance. Inside, the fully modular layout accommodates motherboards up to eATX (285 mm wide), ATX, mATX, and ITX form factors. The Modular Storage Plate can be configured in a Standard Layout for maximum drive capacity or switched to the Open Layout, which clears space for elaborate water-cooling loops and improves front-to-rear airflow. Six universal 3.5″/2.5″ drive brackets and two dedicated 2.5″ brackets offer ample storage options, while a single removable 5.25″ bay provides legacy device support. Cooling headroom is generous. Nine fan mounts span the front (up to 3× 120 mm or 2× 140 mm), top (up to 3× 120/140 mm in Open Layout), rear (1× 120/140 mm), and base (2× 120/140 mm). Three Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-14 140 mm fans come pre-installed — two intake at the front and one exhaust at the rear. The integrated Nexus+ Smart Hub manages up to six additional case fans and three extra PWM devices through a single motherboard header. Radiator support extends to 360 mm in the front, 420 mm in the top (Open Layout), and 280 mm at the base, making the Define R6 a strong foundation for custom liquid-cooling loops. The reversible front door features an anodized aluminum cover and a dual-hinge mounting system, letting builders choose left or right opening to suit their workspace. Third-generation ModuVent technology on the top panel allows the steel sound-dampening cover to be swapped for a filtered multi-fan ventilation insert without tools. High-airflow nylon dust filters cover the front, top, and base (with full PSU coverage), and all are accessible from the front of the case. Expansion is handled by 7 standard PCIe slots plus 2 vertical slots, the latter compatible with the Fractal Design Flex VRC-25 riser kit (sold separately) for a vertical GPU display. A GPU up to 440 mm long fits with a front fan installed. CPU coolers up to 185 mm tall are supported, and 23 mm of cable routing space behind the motherboard tray, combined with fixed velcro straps and rubber-grommetted routing holes, keeps cable management tidy.
