The Fractal Design Node 304 is a compact Mini-ITX and Mini-DTX chassis built for small-form-factor enthusiasts who refuse to compromise on storage or expandability. Its aluminium front panel and clean, minimalist exterior keep the footprint modest — 250 mm wide, 210 mm tall, and 374 mm deep — while the modular interior packs in far more capability than the size suggests. Storage is a standout strength of the Node 304. The unique modular drive-mounting system accommodates up to six 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drives simultaneously, an unusual capacity for a case of this size. Two full-height expansion slots support standard add-in cards, and with two drive brackets removed a discrete GPU up to 310 mm (12.20 inches) long can be installed. ATX power supplies up to 160 mm (6.30 inches) are supported, although users should note that PSUs and GPUs near their respective maximum lengths may conflict with each other. CPU cooling flexibility is genuine: tower air coolers up to 165 mm (6.50 inches) tall fit without modification, and single-fan liquid cooling systems are also supported. Three Fractal Design Silent Series R2 hydraulic-bearing fans come pre-installed. Two 92 mm front intake fans run at 1,300 rpm, and a single 140 mm rear exhaust fan operates at 1,000 rpm. All three connect to the included fan controller for straightforward speed management. Front-panel dust filters protect the intake fans, and a separate GPU area filter is also present. The rear fan position accepts 120 mm or 140 mm fans, giving room to swap or upgrade. The aluminium front I/O panel provides two USB Type-A ports rated to USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.2 Gen 1) speeds, a 3.5 mm audio input, and a 3.5 mm audio output. Power and HDD LED indicators round out the front panel. A USB 3.1-to-2.0 internal adapter is included in the box. There is no side window on this model.
