The Fractal Design Torrent Compact Dark Tint (model FD-C-TOR1C-01) is a mid-tower PC cabinet engineered to deliver high-throughput air cooling in a compact footprint. At its core are two included 180 x 38 mm Dynamic PWM fans positioned at the front, drawing air through an open-mesh front grille and pushing it across your components with considerably more volume than standard 120 mm or 140 mm fans. The result is a thermal-first design that suits builders prioritising air cooling efficiency without sacrificing internal capacity. Despite its compact dimensions of 450 x 222 x 467 mm and a net weight of 8.0 kg, the Torrent Compact accommodates E-ATX motherboards up to 274 mm wide, as well as ATX, mATX, Mini-ITX, and SSI-CEB form factors. The top-mounted ATX power supply bay (max 210 mm PSU length) frees up the interior for improved component breathing room. Graphics cards up to 330 mm in length fit with the front fan mounted, while CPU coolers up to 174 mm tall are supported. Both the left and right side panels are tempered glass, allowing full visibility into your build, and they feature a tool-less push-to-lock mechanism for effortless removal and reinstallation. Cable management is handled via fixed cable straps, routing grommets, and a generous 20 mm of cable routing space behind the motherboard tray. Storage options include one combo 3.5-inch/2.5-inch drive mount and three dedicated 2.5-inch SSD brackets, all secured with captive thumbscrews. Dust filtration is provided at the front and bottom, both easily accessed by removing the front panel. Front I/O includes one USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, and a combined audio jack. The case offers seven expansion slots and supports radiators up to 360 mm at the front and 240 mm at the bottom. A rear 120 mm fan mount is present but the fan is not included.
