At the heart of the cooler are four copper heat pipes with direct contact technology, meaning the flat-bottom heat pipes touch the CPU IHS directly rather than passing through a secondary copper plate. The aluminium fin stack provides the heat dissipation surface area, and the thick copper base plate underpins the entire assembly.
