Overview
The Gigabyte B365M Aorus Elite is a Micro ATX motherboard (24.4 cm x 24.4 cm) built on the Intel B365 Express Chipset with an LGA1151 socket, supporting 8th and 9th Generation Intel Core i9, i7, i5, i3, Pentium, and Celeron processors. It is a strong option for compact desktop builds that need versatile connectivity without sacrificing storage expandability. Memory support spans four DDR4 DIMM slots in a dual-channel configuration, accommodating up to 64 GB of system memory at speeds of 2133, 2400, or 2666 MHz. XMP profile support is available when a compatible 8th or 9th Gen Core i9, i7, or i5 processor is installed. Storage options are generous for this form factor. Two M.2 Socket 3 (M key) connectors are provided: one (M2Q) supports PCIe x4/x2 drives in sizes 2242 through 22110, while the second (M2A) supports both SATA and PCIe x4/x2 drives in sizes 2242 through 2280. Six SATA 6 Gb/s ports complement the M.2 slots, and RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 configurations are supported. Intel Optane Memory is also compatible. For graphics, the integrated Intel HD Graphics engine outputs via DVI-D (up to 1920×1200 @ 60 Hz), DisplayPort 1.2 (up to 4096×2304 @ 60 Hz), or HDMI 1.4 (up to 4096×2160 @ 30 Hz), with simultaneous triple-display output supported. The primary PCIe x16 slot running at full x16 bandwidth accommodates a discrete GPU, and AMD CrossFire multi-GPU configurations are supported. Connectivity includes an Intel Gigabit Ethernet controller with cFosSpeed software, a USB Type-C port with USB 3.1 Gen 1 support on the rear panel, three additional USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports on the rear, and two more via an internal header. Six USB 2.0/1.1 ports round out USB availability. Audio is handled by a Realtek ALC892 codec with High Definition Audio support for 2, 4, 5.1, and 7.1 channel configurations, plus S/PDIF output. RGB Fusion 2.0 enables addressable LED control via two ARGB headers and two standard RGB headers. Smart Fan 5 provides hybrid fan control across one CPU and three system fan headers, including FAN STOP functionality. The BIOS uses dual AMI UEFI flash chips with Gigabyte's DualBIOS protection.
