Overview
The GIGABYTE B560M Gaming HD is a Micro ATX motherboard built on the Intel B560 Express Chipset, designed for LGA1200-socket processors. It supports both 10th and 11th Generation Intel Core processors — including Core i9, i7, i5, i3, Pentium, and Celeron families — making it a flexible foundation for a range of Intel-platform builds. Memory support spans up to 64 GB of DDR4 across two DIMM slots in a dual-channel configuration. With an 11th Gen processor installed, DDR4 speeds reach up to 3200 MHz; 10th Gen i9 and i7 processors support up to 2933 MHz, while i5, i3, Pentium, and Celeron variants top out at 2666 MHz. XMP profiles are also supported for straightforward memory tuning. For storage, the board provides two M.2 Socket 3 connectors: one CPU-connected M.2 running at PCIe 4.0 x4 (types 2260/2280), and one chipset-connected M.2 supporting both SATA and PCIe 3.0 x4 (types 2260/2280). Four SATA 6 Gb/s ports round out the storage options, and Intel Optane Memory support is available via the CPU M.2 slot with an 11th Gen processor. The single PCIe x16 slot operates at PCIe 4.0 speeds, while an additional PCIe x1 slot conforms to PCIe 3.0. USB connectivity includes six USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports (four on the rear panel, two via internal header) and eight USB 2.0/1.1 ports (two rear, six via internal headers). Onboard graphics output is handled through Intel HD Graphics integration, offering a D-Sub port (up to 1920×1200 @ 60 Hz) and an HDMI 2.0 port (up to 4096×2160 @ 30 Hz, HDCP 2.3 compliant). Audio is powered by a Realtek HD Audio CODEC supporting 2/4/5.1/7.1-channel output. Networking uses the Realtek 8118 Gaming LAN chip with bandwidth management utilities included. RGB Fusion 2.0 enables addressable LED (5 V) and standard RGB (12 V) strip control, with support for up to 300 LEDs. Smart Fan 6 provides multi-sensor fan management with a hybrid fan header and FAN STOP capability. Q-Flash Plus allows BIOS updates without installing a CPU, memory, or GPU.
