The Gigabyte B850M Eagle WiFi 6E is a Micro-ATX motherboard built on AMD's B850 chipset, designed for the AM5 socket platform. It is compatible with AMD Ryzen 9000, Ryzen 8000, and Ryzen 7000 Series processors, giving builders a future-ready foundation without needing to upgrade the platform. At its core is an 8+2+2 phase digital twin VRM solution backed by a 6-layer PCB, premium chokes, and solid capacitors, ensuring stable power delivery for sustained processor performance. Memory support is handled by four DDR5 DIMM slots in a dual-channel configuration, capable of accommodating up to 256 GB of RAM (with 64 GB maximum per single DIMM). The board supports DDR5 overclocking up to 8200 MT/s, along with both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP memory profiles for straightforward performance tuning. Storage options include two M.2 slots — one PCIe 5.0 x4 and one PCIe 4.0 — alongside four SATA 6 Gb/s ports, covering both high-speed NVMe and traditional drive configurations. Connectivity is a strong suit: integrated WiFi 6E with a 2T2R directional ultra-high gain antenna and Bluetooth 5.3 handle wireless needs, while a 2.5 GbE LAN port serves wired networking.
