The GIGABYTE B860M Aorus Elite WiFi 6E is a Micro ATX motherboard built on the Intel B860 Express Chipset and designed for the LGA1851 socket, making it fully compatible with Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2). Its compact 24.4 cm × 24.4 cm footprint fits a wide range of mid-tower and mATX cases without sacrificing feature density. At the heart of the power delivery is a Digital Twin 12+1+2 phase VRM solution. The twelve VCORE phases utilise 60A DrMOS components in a 6+6 parallel configuration, while a dedicated 40A DrMOS VCCGT phase handles integrated GPU demands and two 60A DrMOS VCCSA phases supply stable power to PCIe-connected lanes. VRM Thermal Armor Advanced and M.2 Thermal Guard Extended heatsinks keep temperatures in check under sustained loads. Memory support covers four DDR5 DIMM slots in dual-channel configuration, accommodating up to 256 GB (using 64 GB modules) and speeds from 5600 MT/s up to 9200 MT/s via XMP overclocking. CUDIMM support is also present. The AI Perfdrive feature applies optimised BIOS profiles automatically, while D5 Bionic Corsa is GIGABYTE's platform for tuning DDR5 bandwidth. Storage is plentiful: one PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slot (CPU-direct, type 2280) delivers next-generation SSD throughput, complemented by two chipset-connected PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots and four SATA 6 Gb/s ports with RAID 0/1/5/10 support. The primary PCIe x16 slot runs PCIe 5.0 at full x16 bandwidth for the graphics card, and a second x16-form-factor slot provides PCIe 4.0 x4 for additional expansion. Connectivity is extensive. Networking combines a Realtek 2.5GbE LAN chip with Wi-Fi 6E and a directional high-gain antenna. The back panel hosts a USB4 Type-C port (supporting DisplayPort Alt Mode up to 3840×2160@144 Hz via DisplayPort 2.1), two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and four USB 2.0 ports. Display outputs include DisplayPort 2.1 (3840×2160@144 Hz), HDMI 2.1 (4096×2160@60 Hz with HDCP 2.3), and USB4 Type-C DP Alt, enabling up to four simultaneous displays. Audio is handled by a Realtek HD Audio CODEC with 2/4/5.1/7.1-channel output and optical S/PDIF out.
