The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5080 Gaming OC 16GB GDDR7 graphics card brings NVIDIA's Blackwell architecture to high-performance PC gaming. Running an overclocked boost clock of 2730 MHz — above the reference 2617 MHz — it delivers extra headroom for demanding titles, creative workloads, and real-time ray tracing without manual tuning. The card supports DLSS 4, NVIDIA's latest AI-driven upscaling technology, which reconstructs frames at higher fidelity while keeping frame times low across supported titles. Cooling is handled by GIGABYTE's WINDFORCE system, which combines three Hawk fans operating in an alternate-spinning configuration to reduce turbulence and improve airflow across the heatsink. Underneath the fans, a large vapour chamber and composite copper heat pipes distribute heat rapidly from the GPU die, while server-grade thermal conductive gel at the contact interface improves heat transfer beyond conventional paste. A screen-cooling design draws additional air across the PCB rear, keeping VRMs and memory modules at safe operating temperatures under sustained load. The exterior follows GIGABYTE's mech-warrior design language: a multi-layered shroud with varied surface material finishes and unique curved textures gives the card a distinct mechanical identity. A sliding side plate lets users open or cover a section of the shroud to suit their build aesthetic. The legendary three-ring RGB Halo lighting is fully configurable through GIGABYTE Control Center and can synchronise with compatible system components. A reinforced frame and included VGA holder protect the PCIe slot from sag caused by the card's weight. Dual BIOS lets users toggle between a Performance profile and a Silent profile without software, providing instant control over fan noise versus cooling headroom.
