The Kingston DC300ME (model SEDC3000ME-3T8) is a 3.84 TB U.2 enterprise solid-state drive engineered for the most demanding data-centre workloads. Built around a high-speed PCIe 5.0 NVMe interface and 3D eTLC NAND, the DC300ME delivers the I/O consistency and low latency that system integrators, hyperscale data centres, and cloud service providers depend on day to day. At the heart of its performance envelope, the drive achieves sequential read speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 5,800 MB/s. Its 4K random performance reaches up to 2,700,000 read IOPS and 300,000 write IOPS, while quality-of-service latency figures are kept to under 10 µs read and under 70 µs write at the 99th percentile — figures that translate directly to predictable application response times under sustained load. The DC300ME connects via a U.2 2.5-inch (15 mm) form factor using a PCIe Gen5 x4 NVMe interface, and is backward-compatible with PCIe Gen4 servers and backplanes, easing deployment in mixed-generation fleets. Enterprise reliability features include board power-loss protection (PLP) capacitors that safeguard in-flight data during ungraceful shutdowns, hardware-based AES 256-bit encryption, and TCG Opal 2.0 support for self-encrypting drive compliance.
