The MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC is a full-size ATX motherboard built on the AMD B450 chipset for Socket AM4, supporting AMD Ryzen 1st and 2nd Generation processors as well as Ryzen and Athlon APUs with Radeon Vega graphics. Measuring 12 in. x 9.6 in. (30.5 cm x 24.4 cm) with 9 standard mounting holes, it fits any standard ATX mid-tower or full-tower chassis. Memory capacity reaches up to 64 GB across four DDR4 slots operating in dual-channel mode. JEDEC-supported speeds run from 1866 MHz up to 2667 MHz, while A-XMP overclocking profiles extend support to 3466 MHz. The primary M.2 slot (M2_1) connects via PCIe 3.0 x4 for Ryzen processors, with a secondary M.2 slot (M2_2) running at PCIe 2.0 x4 from the chipset. Six SATA 6 Gb/s ports complete the storage array, and RAID 0, 1, and 10 configurations are supported for SATA devices alongside RAID 0/1 for M.2 NVMe pairs. The wireless subsystem relies on an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 9260 card seated in a dedicated M.2 E-key slot, providing 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac coverage on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands at theoretical speeds up to 1.73 Gbps, plus Bluetooth 5.0. Wired networking uses an Intel I211AT Gigabit LAN controller.
