The MSI MAG B460M Mortar is a Micro-ATX motherboard built on Intel's B460 chipset, designed for 10th Generation Intel Core, Pentium Gold, and Celeron processors using the LGA1200 socket. Its compact 9.6 in. x 9.6 in. (24.3 cm x 24.3 cm) footprint makes it well-suited for space-efficient builds without sacrificing connectivity or expansion options. Memory support is generous for its class: four DDR4 DIMM slots accommodate up to 128 GB of non-ECC, unbuffered RAM. Core i7 and i9 processors unlock DDR4-2933 speeds, while Core i5 and below top out at DDR4-2666. Dual-channel operation and Intel XMP profiles are both supported, giving enthusiasts room to optimise performance within chipset limits. Storage flexibility is a highlight. Two M.2 Key-M slots — both reaching PCIe 3.0 x4 — handle NVMe SSDs up to the 2280 form factor, with M2_1 also accepting SATA drives.
