The MSI PRO B840M-P WIFI6E is a compact Micro-ATX motherboard built on the AMD B840 chipset, designed for AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 series desktop processors using the AM5 socket. Measuring 243.84 mm × 243.84 mm, it fits standard mATX cases including the MSI PRO FORGE M051R and M051A Mini Tower options. At the heart of its power delivery is a Direct 7+2+1 digital power design paired with an 8-pin CPU power connector, providing stable voltage regulation for sustained workloads. The PCB is constructed with a 6-layer design using 2 oz thickened copper traces to support higher bandwidth and reliable signal transmission. Extended heatsinks with MOSFET thermal pads rated at 7 W/mK and additional choke thermal pads form the Frozr Guard thermal solution, keeping VRM temperatures in check during extended use. Memory support comes via four DDR5 UDIMM slots capable of holding up to 256 GB of non-ECC, unbuffered RAM. JEDEC speeds range from 4800 to 5600 MT/s, while overclocking via AMD EXPO can push compatible kits to 8000+ MT/s in a 1-DIMM-per-channel, single-rank configuration.
