Overview
The MSI GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Ventus 3X OC 8GB is a mainstream-to-mid-range graphics card built on NVIDIA's Blackwell architecture. Designed with an essentials-first philosophy, the Ventus series delivers solid thermal performance and a neutral aesthetic that fits comfortably into a wide range of PC builds. At the heart of this card are 4608 CUDA cores operating at a boost clock of 2602 MHz, with an extreme performance mode reaching 2617 MHz via MSI Center software. The GPU draws on fifth-generation Tensor Cores for accelerated AI workloads and DLSS 4.5 support, alongside fourth-generation Ray Tracing Cores aimed at handling complex lighting and shadow calculations in compatible titles. The card carries 8 GB of GDDR7 memory running at 28 Gbps across a 128-bit bus. While the narrow memory interface is a notable constraint for high-resolution workloads, the high-bandwidth GDDR7 standard helps offset some of that limitation at 1080p and 1440p targets. Cooling is handled by MSI's TORX Fan 5.0 triple-fan array. Three fans, each fitted with blades linked by stabilising ring arcs set at a 22-degree tilt, channel airflow onto a large heatsink assembly. A solid copper baseplate captures heat directly from the GPU die and feeds it into a network of heat pipes. The reinforcing backplate includes a pass-through airflow vent to help exhaust warm air from the shroud. When the GPU temperature is low, the Zero Frozr feature stops all three fans entirely, eliminating fan noise during light tasks. Connectivity includes HDMI and DisplayPort outputs with support for up to four simultaneous displays at resolutions up to 7680×4320 (8K). The card connects via PCIe 5.0 and requires a single 8-pin power connector with a recommended PSU of 600 W. DirectX 12 Ultimate and OpenGL 4.6 are supported. MSI Center software enables real-time monitoring and tuning, while MSI Afterburner provides granular overclocking control for enthusiasts who want to push beyond stock frequencies.
