The NH-D9 DX-4677 4U features a larger, custom-designed contact surface for LGA4677 (E1) and LGA4710 (E2) platforms. Based on the proven, 92mm size NH-D9L heatsink and equipped with two of Noctua’s award-winning, PWM controlled NF-A9 92mm fans (high-speed 2500rpm version), it combines strong performance with excellent compatibility for 4U systems and other space-restricted applications. The NH-D9’s direction of airflow is parallel to the long axis of the LGA4677/LGA4710 socket, so it is ideal for builds where the hot air is exhausted this way. Topped off with the professional SecuFirm2™ mounting system and pre-applied NT-H1 thermal compound, the NH-D9 DX-4677 4U forms a complete premium quality package for quietly cooling LGA4677 or LGA4710 based Xeon workstations and servers.

Customised for LGA4677 and LGA4710
The Noctua DX-4677 line coolers are dedicated, customised solutions for Intel’s professional socket E1 (LGA4677-1) and socket E2 (LGA4710-2) platforms, which makes them an ideal fit for quiet, high-performance servers and workstations utilising Xeon processors.
Enlarged contact surface
At 70x56mm, the heatsink’s copper contact surface is more than double the size of the standard model. Tailored to fit the enormous integrated heat-spreaders (IHS) of Intel’s LGA4677/LGA4710-based processors, this customised design allows for an optimal heat flow from the CPU over the base to the heatpipes and on to the cooling fins.
SecuFirm2™ mounting system with standard Intel parts
Integrating standard Intel parts such as the anti-tilt mechanism, Torx® T30 PEEK nuts and the CPU-specific carrier frames (included with boxed retail CPUs and available separately for tray CPUs), the cooler’s mounting system is fully compliant with Intel’s installation guidelines and provides a familiar mounting procedure for experienced LGA4677/LGA4710 users. A Torx® T30 mounting tool is included.
Compatible with various Intel carrier frames
LGA4677/LGA4710 processors require plastic CPU carrier frames for installation, which are included with retail boxed CPUs and available separately via Intel sales partners for tray CPUs. The SecuFirm2™ mounting for LGA4677 is compatible with all types of carriers (E1A, E1B, E1C, E2A, E2B).
Compact 92mm size for best compatibility
Thanks to its compact footprint (95x95mm with center fan only, second fan can be installed on either side depending on available space) and a total height of only 134mm, the NH-D9 DX-4677 4U provides excellent PCIe compatibility and is small enough to fit most 4U size rack-mount enclosures.
Airflow parallel to long axis of the socket
The NH-D9’s direction of airflow is parallel to the long axis of the LGA4677 socket, so it is ideal for systems where the exhaust fans of the chassis are in this direction. For systems that require the airflow to go perpendicular to the long axis of the socket, please choose the NH-U9 DX-4677 4U.
Dual NF-A9 HS-PWM fans
The NH-D9 DX-4677 4U is equipped with two of Noctua’s award-winning NF-A9 92mm fans in their high-speed 2500rpm HS-PWM variant. This push/pull dual fan configuration makes it possible to achieve a level of cooling performance that is remarkable for such a compact cooler and comes close to the bigger NH-U12S DX-4677.
PWM support and y-cable
The NF-A9 premium fans supplied with the NH-D9 DX-4677 4U support PWM for convenient automatic speed control through the motherboard, which allows them to run near silent at lighter loads and to speed up only when necessary. The supplied y-cable makes it possible to power and control both fans simultaneously from a single motherboard fan header.
Pre-applied NT-H1 thermal compound
Noctua’s much-acclaimed NT-H1 is a pro-grade TIM solution that provides minimum thermal resistance and outstanding long-term stability. Having the paste pre-applied to the heatsink base ensures optimal bond-line thickness and saves precious time in installation. Ideal for system integrators!
