The Noctua NH-L9A-AM5 is a purpose-built low-profile CPU air cooler designed specifically for AMD AM5 (LGA1718) processors in small form factor and HTPC enclosures. With a total installed height of just 37mm — comprising a 23mm heatsink body and the 14mm-thin NF-A9x14 fan — it fits comfortably in cases with minimal CPU cooler clearance where taller coolers simply cannot be used. The cooler's compact 95mm × 92mm footprint fully respects AMD's socket keep-out zones, meaning neither the heatsink nor the fan overhangs DRAM slots or nearby PCIe connectors. Users building on mini-ITX motherboards can install full-height RAM modules and standard PCIe expansion cards without obstruction or restricted access to near-socket headers. Driving airflow is the Noctua NF-A9x14 HS-PWM fan — a 92mm × 92mm × 14mm unit equipped with Noctua's SSO2 self-stabilising oil-pressure bearing and proprietary AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame. At its 2500 RPM maximum it delivers up to 57.5 m³/h of airflow at a peak noise level of 23.6 dB(A).
