The Phanteks MetallicGear Neo G (model MG-NE520G-BK) is a mid-tower PC cabinet built around a steel chassis with ABS accents and tempered glass on both the front panel and the left side panel. The tempered glass front panel is not merely decorative — it incorporates ventilation so airflow is maintained while the interior components remain on display. Out of the box the Neo G ships with two MetallicGear Skiron 120mm D-RGB fans pre-installed at the front intake, driven by an integrated D-RGB controller accessible from the front I/O. The controller synchronises with D-RGB-equipped motherboards, letting you manage lighting without additional software if your board supports ARGB headers. Additional fans or a second lighting ecosystem can be connected through the same controller. Despite its compact footprint the Neo G accommodates E-ATX motherboards up to 280mm in width alongside full ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX form factors. Seven PCI expansion slots serve multi-GPU and high-end single-GPU builds, while a GPU clearance of 400mm (15.7 in) means long triple-slot cards fit without modification. CPU cooler height clearance is 170mm (6.7 in), suitable for most tower air coolers. Liquid cooling is supported at the front with up to a 280mm radiator (two 140mm fans) or a 240mm radiator (two 120mm fans), at the top with up to a 240mm radiator, and at the rear with a single 120mm radiator. Storage is handled by two 3.5-inch modular HDD brackets and three 2.5-inch SSD brackets included in the box.
