The Sapphire Pulse RX 9060 XT OC 8GB is a mid-range discrete graphics card built on AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture, targeting smooth 1440p gaming performance. Powered by 32 Compute Units housing 2048 stream processors, 32 third-generation Ray Accelerators, and 64 second-generation AI Accelerators, the card is designed to handle both rasterised and ray-traced workloads efficiently. A boost clock of up to 3290 MHz and a typical game clock of up to 2700 MHz deliver responsive frame rates, while 8 GB of GDDR6 memory running at 20 Gbps effective on a 128-bit bus provides the bandwidth needed for high-resolution textures. The 32 MB AMD Infinity Cache further assists memory bandwidth at the chip level. Sapphire equips this card with its Dual-X cooling system, featuring AeroCurve fan blades that reduce air friction and extend the usable RPM range without raising noise levels. The Free Flow heatsink fin design channels airflow to maximise heat dissipation. Honeywell PTM7950 phase-change thermal interface material sits between the GPU die and the heatsink base, offering strong thermal conductivity. Optimised composite heatpipes spread heat evenly across the cooling module, and the Integrated Cooling Module maintains direct contact with the GPU, VRAM, and VRM components simultaneously. An all-aluminium backplate adds rigidity and aids passive heat spreading. From a power and signal standpoint, the card operates at a typical board power of 170 W and requires a single 8-pin PCIe power connector from a minimum 450 W power supply. It connects via a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and provides two HDMI and one DisplayPort 2.1a output, supporting up to three simultaneous displays at resolutions up to 7680×4320. The 9-phase digital power design, fuse protection on the external power connector, and a 6-layer 2 oz copper high-TG PCB underpin electrical stability. Software features include AMD FSR 4 with AI upscaling, AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2, AMD Anti-Lag 2, AMD FreeSync, AV1 encode/decode, DirectX 12 Ultimate support, and Sapphire’s own TriXX utility with TriXX Boost.
