The Thermaltake S500 TG is an ATX mid-tower PC cabinet engineered for enthusiast builders who demand both visual impact and serious cooling headroom. Its steel chassis — constructed from SPCC cold-rolled steel — is finished entirely in black, inside and out, giving the build a clean, professional look that pairs with any component colour scheme. A single 4mm tempered glass side panel on the left lets you showcase your hardware; tempered glass is notably more scratch-resistant and durable than acrylic alternatives, and the 4mm thickness adds rigidity to the panel. Out of the box, the S500 TG ships with two pre-installed fans: a 140 x 140 x 25 mm front intake fan running at 1,000 rpm and 20 dBA, and a 120 x 120 x 25 mm rear exhaust fan running at 1,000 rpm and 16 dBA. Radiator mounts support up to a 420mm unit at the front, up to a 360mm unit on the top, a 120mm unit at the rear, and a 360mm unit on the right side when the HDD rack is removed. This flexibility accommodates triple-fan AIO coolers and custom loops alike. CPU cooler clearance is rated to 172mm, accommodating most high-end tower air coolers on the market. The patented rotational 8-slot PCIe design allows graphics cards to be displayed either horizontally in the traditional orientation or vertically, providing layout flexibility. An integrated riser GPU support bracket is included to counter GPU sag and reduce stress on the motherboard’s PCIe slot. VGA clearance is 282mm with the HDD rack installed and 400mm without it, making the case compatible with long, high-performance graphics cards when storage is moved or reduced.
