The GIGABYTE B660 Aorus Elite AX DDR4 is an ATX form-factor motherboard built on Intel's B660 Express Chipset, designed for LGA1700 processors. It supports 12th and 13th Generation Intel Core, Pentium Gold, and Celeron processors, giving builders a platform that spans two CPU generations without a board swap. On the memory side, four DDR4 DIMM slots support dual-channel operation with capacities up to 128 GB (32 GB per DIMM). Non-ECC unbuffered modules are the primary target, and XMP profiles are supported for enthusiasts who want to push speeds up to DDR4-5333 via overclocking. Shielded memory routing is integrated to help signal integrity at higher frequencies. The power delivery is anchored by a 12+1+1 Twin Hybrid Digital VRM rated at 60A per phase via DrMOS components. Supplemental power is drawn through one 8-pin and one 4-pin ATX 12V connector. A fully covered MOSFET heatsink dissipates heat to keep VRM temperatures manageable under sustained loads.
