The ASUS ROG Strix X299-E Gaming is a full ATX motherboard (12 x 9.6 inches / 30.5 x 24.4 cm) built on the Intel X299 chipset with an LGA2066 socket, designed to support Intel Core X-Series processors across 7th, 9th, and 10th generation lineups. With eight DIMM slots capable of holding up to 256GB of DDR4 memory in a quad-channel configuration, the board accommodates DDR4 frequencies up to 4266MHz (O.C.), making it a strong platform for memory-intensive workloads and enthusiast overclocking. Storage flexibility is a highlight: three M.2 Socket 3 slots (two CPU-connected PCIe 3.0 x4, one chipset-connected supporting both SATA and PCIe) combine with eight SATA 6Gb/s ports, RAID 0/1/5/10 support, Intel VROC, and Intel Optane Memory compatibility.
