The ASRock Z590 Phantom Gaming 4 is a full-size ATX motherboard built on Intel's Z590 chipset with an LGA1200 socket, supporting both 10th Gen (Comet Lake) and 11th Gen (Rocket Lake) Intel Core processors. Its 8-phase Digi Power design, reinforced with premium 50A power chokes and solid capacitors, delivers stable voltage to the CPU under sustained workloads. Four DDR4 DIMM slots support dual-channel memory up to 128 GB, with overclocked speeds reaching DDR4 4800 MHz (OC) on 11th Gen processors and DDR4 4666 MHz (OC) on 10th Gen, alongside XMP 2.0 profile support. Storage flexibility is a highlight: a Hyper M.2 slot (M2_1) runs at PCIe Gen4 x4 for up to 64 Gb/s bandwidth when paired with an 11th Gen processor, while two Ultra M.2 slots (M2_2 and M2_3) each support PCIe Gen3 x4 or SATA3 at up to 32 Gb/s. Six SATA3 6.0 Gb/s ports round out the storage options. RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 configurations are available for SATA devices, and RAID 0 and 1 are supported for M.2 NVMe drives. Connectivity is extensive. The rear I/O includes a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A (10 Gb/s) and Type-C (10 Gb/s) port, two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and an HDMI 2.0 output capable of 4K at 60 Hz. A front-panel USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C header delivers 20 Gb/s. Wired networking is handled by an Intel I219V Gigabit LAN controller (10/100/1000 Mb/s) with Wake- LAN and ESD protection. An Intel 802.11ac Wi-Fi module supports dual-band 2.4/5 GHz connections and Bluetooth 5.1. Audio is powered by a Realtek ALC897 codec providing 7.1-channel HD output with Nahimic Audio software enhancement. The board features ASRock Polychrome SYNC with two standard RGB headers (12 V, up to 36 W) and two addressable RGB headers (5 V, up to 15 W) for LED customisation. Full Spike Protection covers all USB, audio, and LAN ports against voltage surges.
