Overview
The ASRock B650E Taichi is a premium EATX motherboard built on the AMD B650 chipset, designed specifically for AMD Socket AM5 Ryzen 7000 Series processors. Measuring 12.0 × 10.5 inches (30.5 × 26.7 cm) and constructed on an 8-layer, server-grade low-loss PCB, it delivers the signal integrity needed to run both PCIe 5.0 graphics and PCIe Gen5 M.2 storage simultaneously. Power delivery is handled by a 24+2+1 phase design using 105A Smart Power Stage (SPS) components for VCore and GT rails, backed by an enlarged heatsink armor. The board supports four DDR5 DIMM slots with a maximum capacity of 128 GB, running at up to DDR5-6400+ (OC) with AMD EXPO and Intel XMP profile support. Storage flexibility is extensive: one Blazing M.2 slot (PCIe Gen5×4, up to 128 Gb/s) connects directly to the CPU, while two Hyper M.2 slots (PCIe Gen4×4, up to 64 Gb/s each) run through the chipset, alongside four SATA3 6.0 Gb/s connectors via ASMedia ASM1061. NVMe RAID 0, 1, and 10 are supported for M.2 devices. Connectivity is led by a rear USB4 Type-C port running at 40 Gb/s with USB PD 3.0 charging (up to 27 W), three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports (10 Gb/s), and eight USB 3.2 Gen1 ports. A front-panel USB 3.2 Gen2×2 Type-C header (20 Gb/s) is also included. Networking is handled by a Killer E3100G 2.5 Gigabit wired LAN controller alongside an 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6E module (2×2, 160 MHz, 6 GHz band) with Bluetooth, MU-MIMO, and Killer DoubleShot Pro support. Audio is powered by a Realtek ALC4082 codec delivering 5.1-channel HD audio with an ESS SABRE9218 DAC at the front panel (130 dB SNR), WIMA audio capacitors, and individual PCB layers for left and right channels.
