The ASRock A320M-HDV is a Micro-ATX form-factor motherboard built around the AMD A320 (Promontory) chipset and the AMD AM4 socket. It is designed to accommodate AMD 7th-generation A-Series APUs (Bristol Ridge) and a wide range of AMD Ryzen series processors, including Summit Ridge, Raven Ridge, Pinnacle Ridge, Picasso, and Matisse generations, giving builders flexibility for entry-level and mid-range AMD platform builds. Memory support spans two DDR4 DIMM slots running in dual-channel configuration, with a maximum system capacity of 32 GB. Supported speeds vary by CPU generation and reach up to DDR4 3200 (with certain Ryzen CPUs), while 15μ gold contacts in the DIMM slots contribute to reliable long-term connectivity. Solid capacitors are used throughout the board for added stability, and ELNA audio capacitors help reduce audio noise for cleaner sound output via the onboard Realtek ALC892 7.1-channel HD audio codec. Storage connectivity includes four SATA3 6 Gb/s ports with RAID 0, RAID 1, and RAID 10 support, along with one Ultra M.2 socket (M Key, form factors 2242/2260/2280) that supports both SATA3 6 Gb/s and PCIe Gen3 x4 (up to 32 Gb/s) NVMe modules when paired with compatible Ryzen CPUs. HDMI supports resolutions up to 4096×2160 @ 24 Hz or 3840×2160 @ 30 Hz. Six USB ports are present on the rear panel (four USB 3.1 Gen1 and two USB 2.0), supplemented by internal headers supporting an additional four USB 2.0 and two USB 3.1 Gen1 ports. Full Spike Protection and ESD protection on USB and LAN ports help safeguard connected components from unexpected voltage events. The board ships with two SATA data cables, an I/O shield, and a screw for the M.2 socket.
