The ASRock Z690 Phantom Gaming 4 DDR4 is a full-size ATX motherboard built on the Intel Z690 chipset and designed around the LGA1700 socket, making it fully compatible with 12th Generation Intel Core processors that support Intel Hybrid Technology and Turbo Boost Max 3.0 Technology. At its core is a 9-phase Dr.MOS power design using 50A power stages backed by a premium power choke, solid capacitors, and a high-density glass fabric PCB — collectively marketed by ASRock as the Super Alloy platform — providing a stable power delivery foundation for demanding workloads and overclocking sessions. Memory support extends to four DDR4 DIMM slots in dual-channel configuration with a native speed of DDR4 3200, expandable via XMP 2.0 profiles up to DDR4 5333+ (OC), and a maximum installed capacity of 128 GB. For storage, the board provides three Hyper M.2 sockets: M2_1 (CPU-attached, PCIe Gen4 x4, types 2260/2280), M2_2 (chipset, PCIe Gen4 x4, types 2242/2260/2280), and M2_3 (chipset, PCIe Gen4 x4 and SATA3, types 2260/2280/22110), complemented by four SATA3 6.0 Gb/s connectors. Internally, a front-panel USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C header delivers up to 20 Gb/s transfer speeds.
