The MSI B460M Pro-VDH WiFi is a Micro-ATX motherboard built on Intel's B460 chipset and designed for 10th Generation Intel Core, Pentium Gold, and Celeron processors using the LGA 1200 socket. Measuring 9.6 × 9.6 inches (24.4 × 24.4 cm), it fits neatly into compact mATX cases while delivering a well-rounded feature set for home office builds, productivity workstations, and budget-conscious desktop upgrades. Memory support is handled by four DDR4 DIMM slots accommodating up to 128 GB of non-ECC, unbuffered RAM. Paired with an Intel Core i7 or i9 processor, the board reaches DDR4-2933 MHz (maximum); pairing with an i5 or below caps out at DDR4-2666 MHz. Both modes support Intel XMP profiles and dual-channel operation, letting you maximise memory bandwidth without manual tuning. Storage flexibility is a highlight: two M.2 Key-M slots run at up to PCIe 3.0 x4 each, with M2_1 also supporting SATA 6 Gb/s drives and form factors up to 22110. Four SATA 6 Gb/s ports extend capacity further, and the board supports RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 configurations across those SATA devices. M2_2 is Intel Optane Memory Ready and compatible with Intel Smart Response Technology. Connectivity is handled by a pre-installed Intel 3168NGW wireless module seated in a dedicated M.2 Key-E slot, offering 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi at up to 433 Mbps alongside Bluetooth 4.2. Wired networking comes from a Realtek RTL8111H Gigabit LAN controller. The back panel provides HDMI (up to 4096×2160 @ 30 Hz), DVI-D, and VGA outputs for integrated graphics, plus four USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) Type-A ports and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports. Two additional USB 3.2 Gen 1 and four USB 2.0 ports are available via internal headers. Audio is powered by a Realtek ALC892 codec delivering 7.1-channel High Definition Audio. Internal connectivity includes headers for RGB and addressable RAINBOW LED strips, a chassis intrusion connector, TPM module support, and a 4-pin water-pump header for liquid cooling setups. Fan control for up to four headers (CPU fan, water pump, two system fans) can be managed through BIOS or MSI software.
