The ASUS Prime X299 Deluxe II is an ATX form-factor motherboard built around the Intel X299 chipset, designed to support Intel Socket LGA2066 Core X-Series processors. It targets professional content creators and performance enthusiasts who require a platform capable of harnessing up to 18 CPU cores, four memory channels, and up to 44 PCIe lanes available on compatible high-core-count Intel Core X-Series CPUs. Power delivery is handled by 12 power stages connected to the CPU socket, supplemented by dual eight-pin EPS 12V connectors using ASUS ProCool solid-pin construction for improved current capacity and thermal management. Memory support extends to eight DDR4 DIMM slots with a maximum capacity of 128 GB, running at speeds from 2133 MHz up to 4266 MHz (overclocked), with Intel XMP profile support. Storage options are comprehensive: three M.2 Socket 3 slots supporting PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe drives (with one also supporting SATA mode), plus eight SATA 6 Gb/s ports. RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 are supported via Intel Rapid Storage Technology, and the board is Intel Optane Memory Ready. Connectivity is a standout feature.
