The GIGABYTE B850M Force V2 is a Micro ATX motherboard built on the AMD B850 chipset, designed for AMD Socket AM5 processors including Ryzen 9000, Ryzen 8000, and Ryzen 7000 series CPUs. It fits a wide range of builds — from compact gaming rigs to capable workstations — without demanding a full ATX footprint, thanks to its 24.4 cm × 24.4 cm form factor. Memory performance is a highlight of this platform. Two DDR5 DIMM slots support up to 128 GB of system memory (64 GB per DIMM) in dual-channel configuration, with compatibility ranging from DDR5-4400 at standard speeds up to DDR5-9600 under overclocked profiles. Both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP memory profiles are supported, making it straightforward to unlock rated speeds on compatible kits. Storage is equally capable. A first M.2 slot (M2A_CPU) is wired directly to the CPU and supports PCIe 5.0 x4 SSDs when paired with Ryzen 9000 or 7000 processors, delivering the highest available NVMe bandwidth. A second CPU-connected M.2 slot (M2B_CPU) supports PCIe 4.0 x4, and a third chipset-connected slot (M2C_SB) offers PCIe 4.0 x2. Four SATA 6 Gb/s ports round out the storage options, with RAID 0, 1, and 10 supported across SATA devices and NVMe arrays. Connectivity is a genuine strength.
