The ARCTIC Freezer 4U-SP5 is a single-tower CPU air cooler purpose-built for AMD Socket SP5 and the EPYC processor family. Engineered specifically for data-centre and workstation environments that demand round-the-clock reliability, it handles processors up to 128 cores and 360 W TDP while consuming a maximum of only 6.96 W itself — making it a highly power-efficient solution for demanding compute workloads. At just 145 mm tall and 124 × 147 mm in footprint, the Freezer 4U-SP5 slots comfortably into standard 4U server racks as well as most consumer 4U tower cases. Its compact profile also makes it compatible with dual-socket motherboards, giving system integrators flexibility when designing dense multi-processor platforms. Cooling is handled by two 120 mm PWM fans arranged in a push-pull configuration around a 62-fin aluminium array fed by ten direct-touch Ø 6 mm heat pipes. The fans are drawn from ARCTIC's P-series, a lineage optimised for static pressure applications with dense fin stacks. Speeds range from 300 to 3,300 rpm under PWM control, delivering up to 81.04 CFM (137.69 m³/h) of airflow at a static pressure of 4.35 mmH₂O. At maximum speed the rated noise level is 45.3 dBA. The dual-fan arrangement also provides inherent redundancy: should one fan fail, the other continues to move air across the heatsink, protecting the system from thermal shutdown. Both fans use dual ball bearings, a bearing type selected for its resistance to contamination and elevated-temperature wear, making the cooler suitable for 24/7 continuous operation within an ambient range of 0–40 °C. Each unit ships with a 0.8 g syringe of ARCTIC MX-6 thermal compound, which is neither electrically conductive nor capacitive. A 4-pin PWM connector and a 200 mm cable are included.
