Overview
The Gigabyte RTX 5060 Ti Windforce Max OC 8GB GDDR7 Graphics Card brings NVIDIA's Blackwell architecture to the mainstream segment, combining factory overclocked performance with a purpose-built thermal solution designed for sustained workloads. Built on the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GPU with 4608 CUDA cores running at a boost clock of 2587 MHz — up from the reference 2572 MHz — this card delivers a meaningful OC headroom out of the box. At the heart of the cooling solution is GIGABYTE's WINDFORCE system, which pairs Hawk fans with an eagle-wing-inspired blade geometry. According to GIGABYTE, this design yields up to a 53.6% increase in air pressure and a 12.5% increase in air volume compared to conventional fan blades. Alternate spinning between adjacent fans minimises turbulence, while graphene nano lubricant is reported to extend sleeve-bearing fan lifespan by up to 2.1 times relative to standard lubricants. The semi-passive 3D Active Fan mode keeps the fans off during light or idle loads, reducing noise during everyday use. The heatsink makes use of composite copper heat pipes and a copper base plate that contacts the GPU die directly, transferring heat rapidly to the fin array. Server-grade thermal conductive gel — rather than conventional thermal pads — covers the VRAM and MOSFETs, providing consistent contact across uneven component surfaces and resisting deformation over time. A screen-cooling section at the rear of the heatsink allows additional airflow to pass through the card body for improved heat dissipation. The electrical design features lower RDS MOSFETs for reduced switching resistance, metal chokes for lower core energy loss and reduced EMI, and lower-ESR solid capacitors for improved conductivity and longevity. A reinforced backplate attaches to the I/O bracket to maintain structural rigidity in larger builds.
