AMD Ryzen 7 9700X Processor with Radeon Graphics

The AMD Ryzen 7 9700X is an eight-core, sixteen-thread desktop processor from AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series, built on the Zen 5 architecture. The compute chiplets are manufactured on TSMC’s 4nm FinFET process node, while the I/O die uses TSMC’s 6nm FinFET process, with a total package die count of two. The processor slots into the AM5 socket and is compatible with A620, B650, B650E, X670, X670E, X870, and X870E motherboard chipsets. The Ryzen 7 9700X operates at a base clock of 3.8 GHz and can reach a maximum boost frequency of up to 5.5 GHz through AMD’s Precision Boost 2 technology. The default TDP is 65W, making it a thermally efficient option for capable system builds. Note that no cooling solution is included in the box; AMD recommends a premium air cooler for optimal performance. The processor’s maximum operating temperature (Tjmax) is 95°C. For memory, the 9700X supports dual-channel DDR5 UDIMM up to 192 GB. Maximum validated memory speeds are DDR5-5600 in two-DIMM configurations (both single-rank and dual-rank) and DDR5-3600 in four-DIMM configurations. ECC memory is supported when the motherboard also provides that capability. AMD EXPO memory overclocking technology is supported for simplified DDR5 profile activation. The processor is unlocked for overclocking and supports Precision Boost Overdrive, Curve Optimizer voltage offsets, and the AMD Ryzen Master utility for real-time monitoring and tuning of CPU, GPU, and memory parameters. On the connectivity side, the 9700X provides 28 total PCIe lanes (24 usable) over PCIe 5.0, four native USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) ports, and one native USB 2.0 port. NVMe configurations supported include boot, RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, and RAID 10. USB Type-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode is also supported. Integrated graphics are provided via AMD Radeon Graphics with 2 graphics cores running at up to 2200 MHz, suitable for display output and basic visual tasks.
