The ARCTIC Freezer 36 ARGB (Black) is a single-tower CPU air cooler designed to deliver efficient thermal performance alongside addressable RGB lighting in a clean, blacked-out aesthetic. Built around a push-pull dual-fan configuration, the cooler houses two ARCTIC P12 PWM PST fans with A-RGB illumination — each fan fitted with 12 independently controllable A-RGB LEDs that are compatible with standard 3-pin A-RGB headers from major motherboard manufacturers, letting you synchronise the lighting across your entire build. The heatsink consists of 59 aluminium fins (each 0.4 mm thick) threaded by four 6 mm diameter copper heatpipes. The open side-flow fin design allows the rear pull fan to draw supplemental cool air directly through the side of the heatsink, increasing ventilation efficiency. Soldered heatpipe ends are hidden beneath a screwed aluminium top plate, giving the cooler a refined, purposeful appearance. Fan speed is PWM-controlled across a 200–1800 rpm range, with a semi-passive zero-RPM mode that activates when the PWM signal drops below 5%, allowing the system to run completely silent at low loads. The P12 fans use a fluid dynamic bearing developed with a German-engineered alloy-and-lubricant combination that minimises friction, reduces bearing noise, and extends service life. For LGA1851 and LGA1700 builds, ARCTIC includes a custom contact frame that replaces Intel’s Independent Loading Mechanism, significantly reducing mechanical deformation stress on the CPU die, IHS solder layer, and PCB without sacrificing cooler retention quality.
