The ASRock X570 Steel Legend is a full-size ATX motherboard built on the AMD X570 chipset, designed for AMD AM4 socket processors including Ryzen 2000 and Ryzen 3000 series (Matisse, Pinnacle Ridge, and Picasso). Its ATX form factor measures 12.0 x 9.6 inches (30.5 x 24.4 cm), fitting standard mid-tower and full-tower cases with ease. At the heart of the board's power delivery is a 10-phase design using an Intersil Digital PWM controller, supported by 50A Dr.MOS components, a Premium 60A Power Choke, and Nichicon 12K Black Caps — all contributing to stable CPU power under sustained workloads. The Super Alloy construction includes a 2oz Copper PCB and High Density Glass Fabric PCB for enhanced signal integrity and longevity. For memory, the board offers four DDR4 DIMM slots in dual-channel configuration, supporting up to 128GB of capacity. With a Ryzen 3000 (Matisse) processor installed, DDR4 speeds up to 4666 MHz (OC) are achievable, while native speeds of 2133 to 3200 MHz are supported across all compatible CPU families. Expansion is handled by two PCIe x16 slots and three PCIe x1 slots. With a Matisse CPU, both x16 slots operate at PCIe 4.0, enabling full-bandwidth GPU and add-in card connectivity. AMD Quad CrossFireX multi-GPU configurations are supported. Storage options include eight SATA3 6.0 Gb/s connectors with RAID 0/1/10 support, one Hyper M.2 slot (M2_1) supporting PCIe Gen4 x4 up to 64 Gb/s with Matisse CPUs, and a second Hyper M.2 slot (M2_2) supporting both PCIe Gen4 x4 and SATA3 modules. Both M.2 slots are covered by ASRock's Full Coverage M.2 Heatsink to manage thermal output. Audio is delivered by a Realtek ALC1220 codec in a 7.1-channel HD configuration, augmented by Nichicon Fine Gold Series Audio Caps, an NE5532 headset amplifier supporting up to 600-ohm headsets, PCB channel isolation, and gold-plated audio jacks. Rear I/O includes one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A and one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port (both at 10 Gb/s), six USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 video outputs (for APU-based systems), an optical S/PDIF output, a PS/2 port, and an Intel I211AT Gigabit Ethernet port with Energy Efficient Ethernet 802.3az support. Two antenna ports on the I/O shield prepare the board for optional Wi-Fi module installation via the onboard Key-E M.2 slot.
