Overview
The ASRock X570 Taichi Razer Edition is a full-size ATX motherboard (12.0 in × 9.6 in / 30.5 cm × 24.4 cm) built on the AMD X570 chipset and designed around the AM4 socket. It supports AMD Ryzen 2000, 3000, 4000 G-Series, and 5000 Series desktop processors, making it a capable foundation for builds centred on Ryzen 5000 (Vermeer) or Ryzen 3000 (Matisse) chips. Power delivery is handled by a 16-phase digital VRM using Dr.MOS power stages rated at 50 A each, paired with a 60 A premium power choke and Nichicon 12K Black capacitors. An XXL aluminium alloy heatsink covers the VRM array to manage thermals under sustained workloads. The motherboard accepts up to four DDR4 DIMMs in dual-channel configuration, with a maximum installed capacity of 128 GB. Supported speeds range from DDR4-2133 up to DDR4-4666+ under XMP or manual overclocking, depending on the CPU installed. Storage connectivity comprises eight SATA3 6.0 Gb/s ports (supporting RAID 0, 1, and 10) and three Hyper M.2 slots. M2_1 and M2_3 accept both SATA3 and PCIe Gen4 ×4 NVMe drives (up to 64 Gb/s with Vermeer/Matisse); M2_2 is PCIe Gen4 ×4 NVMe only. All three M.2 slots include full-coverage heatsinks. Expansion slots consist of two CPU-connected PCIe 4.0 ×16 slots (running ×16/×8+×8 with Vermeer and Matisse), one chipset PCIe 4.0 ×16 slot operating at ×4, and one PCIe 4.0 ×1 slot. Multi-GPU via AMD CrossFireX and NVIDIA SLI is supported where applicable. Networking is handled by a Killer E3100G 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet controller (10/100/1000/2500 Mb/s) and a Killer AX1650x Wi-Fi 6 module supporting IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ax on dual-band 2.4/5 GHz with MU-MIMO, 2×2 antenna diversity, and Bluetooth 5.1. Killer DoubleShot Pro allows simultaneous use of wired and wireless interfaces, routing high-priority traffic over the faster link automatically. Audio is powered by a Realtek ALC1220 codec with an ESS SABRE9218 DAC on the front-panel output delivering a stated 130 dB SNR, WIMA audio capacitors, PCB isolation shielding between left and right channels, and Nahimic Audio software. The rear I/O includes full-size HD audio jacks with gold plating. The Razer Edition integration means the board natively connects to Razer Synapse 3, allowing unified lighting control across the onboard RGB headers (2× 12 V RGB, 2× 5 V ARGB) and any connected Razer Chroma peripherals or ARGB accessories.
