The Deepcool Assassin IV (White) is a premium dual-tower CPU air cooler engineered for enthusiasts who demand strong thermal performance without sacrificing silence. Its twin-fin-stack heatsink design maximises surface area for heat dissipation, while the all-white finish gives builds a clean, understated aesthetic that pairs well with high-contrast components. At the heart of the Assassin IV are seven Ø6 mm heat pipes that draw heat rapidly away from the CPU lid and distribute it across both fin towers. The cooler ships with one 140 mm and one 120 mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) fan, both driven by six-pole motors at 12 VDC. FDB technology significantly reduces mechanical friction compared with sleeve bearings, contributing to the cooler's notably low noise floor. A physical Performance / Quiet mode switch lets you tailor fan behaviour without touching software. In Performance Mode the fans spin up to 1,700 RPM, delivering up to 79.1 CFM of airflow at a maximum noise level of ≤29.3 dB(A). Flip to Quiet Mode and the ceiling drops to 1,350 RPM, airflow falls to a combined 63.76 CFM / 46.75 CFM, and noise stays at or below 22.6 dB(A) — inaudible under typical office ambient levels. Both fans connect via 4-pin PWM headers for motherboard-controlled speed ramping across the full 500–1,700 RPM range. The relocatable 120 mm fan can be shifted or removed entirely, providing unobstructed clearance for tall RAM modules. Installation is aided by a magnetic top fan cover and a tooling design focused on user accessibility. Included in the box is Deepcool DM9 thermal compound, a high-performance paste suited to demanding thermal applications.
