The Fractal Design Era ITX Mini Tower Cabinet in Cobalt is a compact, aluminum-clad small form factor chassis designed for builders who refuse to compromise performance for size. At just 16 litres internal volume and measuring 325 × 166 × 310 mm, the Era fits neatly on a desk without sacrificing the hardware headroom that demanding workloads and gaming require. The exterior is finished in an anodized aluminum shell — both the left and right side panels are aluminum — and the Cobalt colorway is complemented by a color-coordinated top panel available in tempered glass or wood insert, both of which are swappable with an included steel mesh panel for increased airflow. Tool-less push-to-lock latching on both side panels, combined with a magnetic top panel, makes internal access straightforward. Despite its footprint, the Era accommodates dual-slot graphics cards up to 295 mm in length (210 mm with a low-mounted SFX PSU; 190 mm with a low-mounted ATX PSU), and supports CPU coolers up to 120 mm tall. PSU compatibility spans ATX, SFX-L, and SFX formats up to 200 mm in length, with adjustable brackets that let you choose the mounting height to maximize interior space. Cooling options are extensive for a 16-litre chassis. The chimney-style airflow layout uses five total fan positions: two 120 mm mounts at the top, two 140 mm mounts at the bottom (available without a dual-slot GPU), and one 80 mm rear mount. A Fractal Design SSR3 80 mm fan comes pre-installed at the rear. A removable radiator bracket supports a 240 mm or dual 120 mm radiator at the top (max 125 mm width, 67 mm assembly thickness including fans, subject to PSU position). Nylon dust filters cover the bottom intake, side intakes, and top exhaust positions. The front I/O panel includes one USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port (up to 10 Gbps, fast-charging capable), two USB 3.0 ports, and a 3.5 mm CTIA combined audio/microphone jack. Storage capacity varies by PSU choice: with an SFX PSU the case accommodates up to two 3.5-inch HDDs (via universal brackets) and up to four 2.5-inch SSDs (via dedicated brackets); an ATX PSU reduces this to one HDD and two SSDs.
